Replaced the Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler with a Magnaflow, deleted the resonator, had a 3" stainless steel pipe put in, instead of the old 2.5"; no clamps now - everything's welded, including the monstrous 4" tip. Cost: $400 all in. Thanks, Quick Muffler from Toronto, Canada!

  • really never should have welded stainless to alumanized pipe but it sounds good , just wont last with the stainless welded to alumanized cant get good penatration .

  • @MrStrokerace69 The guys who did this work are supposed to be 'profi'. I know nothing about welding. The aluminum tip already started rusting inside the pipe at the end! I'm not sure how that's possible but that's a fact. Our winters here in ON, Canada are not good for trucks.

  • I hope it'll sound better still when I put in a new muffler! Just ordered one from Spintech. Should hit my mail box on Tuesday. It's supposed to be loud at low speeds, and quiet at highway speeds; exactly what I want. A vid will be coming along...

  • Sergey, what is the number of the Magnaflow muffler you put on and how long is it from end to end, including both inlet and outlet tubes on each end? Thanks, you have a nice sound. Great looking wheels too.

  • @ryeboy2u It's 18 inches long, with 3" inlet and 3" outlet and they are both located in the center. The muffler itself is round. They didn't give me the part number. I checked the Magnaflow website and I think I have a XL 13743. Check their website.

  • There ya go now THAT sounds like a Truck! much better

    American Trucker

  • @AmericanTrucker4Life Now I'm thnking of adding a small 'PLUS' sign to the spot on the truck where it says "Ford F-150 XL" ;) I don't think it can be called a XL anymore.
