I used to know an American who had an experience similar to the Iraqis in this mosque. This person was flying in a helicopter in Vietnam. The helicopter was shot down. His skull broke open during the crash, and his brain was exposed. The Viet Cong came, and shot all of his comrades as they lay writhing. They decided not to waste a bullet on him, because he was so badly injured that they thought he was dead.

To those defending shooting wounded Iraqis: Would you similarly excuse what I described?

This is a clear violation of the laws of war. Even if you are under the delusion that the Iraq war was justified, you should be smart enough not to defend war crimes.
