Madouc was my wonderful Belgian Tervuren. She passed away the day after Christmas 2007, and I'll never have another dog like her - another great dog, maybe, but not one like her. Stereo version: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=o4hqqwaYq_I&fmt=18

  • The nice thing about a new puppy is that it doesn't care what dogs you've had before; it will force you to accept it for what it is. We were lucky enough to get another pup right away, and despite my initial skepticism about doing this so soon, it's been fantastic. I'll always miss Madouc but that old newspaper editor was right: the best place to bury a dog is in your heart.

  • I will send you a private message with this info.

  • She was three weeks shy of thirteen. Thirteen is about average for Belgians; I have known a few who made it to as old as sixteen but that is quite unusual, and I knew one that died at eight, which is also unusual.

  • Beautiful! My one & only Terv lived to almost 15...

He was on special food & meds from the age of 7...

  • She was beautiful, and your Corgis are cute too. I have a Pembroke and have been looking into a Tervuren, thank you for sharing.

  • our lost dogs will always be in our hearts 4ever and we will meet them someday again

  • Beautiful dog. My dad had a malinois that lived to be 18, probably the smartest dog I'll ever meet; looked both ways before crossing the street, a very good trait for a dog that frequently jumped the fence in the city. This led me to get a terv in early '09 and I could not be happier.

  • Fantastic lookin dog, i had a german belgian mix called duke but he looked more like a belgian, looks like madouc lost him 8 weeks ago he was 14,he was my life and best friend a true gentleman.I'am sure u mis ur dog loads but as long as they had a good life and gave u plenty of good times thats all that matters,i will never forget duke always in my heart.

  • Damn. I wish my best friend could live longer.

  • We lost our beautiful Dani "Bear" a week ago - so suddenly that it hurts that we couldn't get help for her quick enough. Dani was our third Terv and she was one of a kind. Her predecessor, Aran, was a big, bold, stunningly handsome dog. Tervuerens are a brilliant breed. I really don't know if I can go through the pain of loving and losing another dog. RIP Dani. XXXXX

  • We just lost our 2 year old Groenendael. It was a beautiful, spring like day in the midwest. I had spent the afternoon with her outside. I put her in the house. I later went to go in. She darted out the door. Her instinct made her chase cars and not stop. One hit her. Our whole family suffers from broken hearts. We are looking into getting a Terv to try to fill the huge hole we feel in our lives and home. Belgians are awesome. A breed like none other. Blessings to you.
