This level is designed for people who have been active, though not necessarily athletic, most their lives and are beginning to be concerned about the balance changes they are experiencing. Balance Essentials Level 1 features movements currently practiced by active people who are living independently. It is not necessary to be athletic or to have participated in other exercise classes to be successful with these movements. Movements start with a warm-up empathizing safe walking techniques. Seated core strengthening is followed by a series of standing balance movements. Seated upper body strengthening and flexibility movements complete the session. Balance Essentials Level 1 is ideal for individual at-home use and for group exercise classes.
