  • what was wrong with nu-metal? it's what got kids in my generation into metal and when it died out it forced us to venture into other genres and discover metal's amazing sub-genres.

It was catchy and cheesy, sure...but so are black & power metal.

Every sub genre in metal has it's gems and craps...

  • This is first MH album I got into too, I feel like I owe alot to this album, back then I was a full blown Nu-metal kid, I remember Coal Chamber, Static-X and MH being my three fav bands, then I listened to Burn My Eye's and I was like what! This is real music, I can actually hear the guitars, they're actually playing riffs!

  • @StanHowser You listen to ICP, Immortal, and Burzum. LOL!!! Never recovered? Fuck off fat boy and get a clue.

  • @STATUSthesleepers It's been 8 months since I wrote that comment. This really helps me see how much a person's mind can change. I can't believe I wrote this. Especially since I also like experimenting and going psychedelic with my music. Apologies to all fellow MH fans. I guess at that time I felt that real MH to me is Struck The Nerve, Old, Ten Ton Hammer etc.

  • @Valdezb6p i never heard him say it was a miracle, i heard him speaking from a personal point of view how he experimented with some of his other influences which included psychadelic type stuff, and thats perfectly fine with me because he wrote the album so he knows what hes talking about

  • From The Day and the rapping on 'Desire To Fire' notwithstanding, 'The Burning Red' is just a Machine Head record with a different production. I always liked it. and it has stood up well. in fact, it's probably one of the few listenable albums from the nu-metal era imo.

Supercharger, however, was a mixed bag.

  • @Meleeek666 It´s on Supercharger, not The Burning Red.

  • WOOT! rob flynn \m/ -_- \m/

  • Defening Silence is a one of my favorite tracks

  • @StanHowser P.S.-Juggalo's should not talk about music period.
