How could it be that there was no signalling device at the start of the runway?

@jmurjeff Yeah I know its 250,000 pounds takeoff weight or something, but I was wondering why the ATC didn't say heavy?

@Airlinesguyrulz If an aircraft weighs over a certain weight, the aircraft must have heavy when they are communicating in their name.

@IndPolCom I think Sean's stepmother was just giving an interview, and whatever emotions came out, are the emotions that came out. I don't think she gave the interview with the belief that someone would be judging whether or not her emotions are 'genuine' or not. I don't find that comment in very good taste, but maybe that's just me.

Have you noticed when Korean Air 801 they say Korean Air 801 but the ATC replies Korean Air 801 heavy?
