Thankyou for sharing your knowledge with us all once again Weeliano. You really help shed light on tough areas of 3D :)
What would be the best way to add a tetxure to a plane? For example, if you want to make a grassy field? Would it be best to just add a tileable texture then mess around with the size?
@Zynt453 You are welcome! Yes you can simply add a tile-able texture onto a plane and adjust the repetition on the UV controls and scaling. However, make sure you choose a texture that is large enough or that is tiled in such a way that the seams are not noticeable from one tile to another. There should be plenty of examples out there on the Internet. Another way is to actually create the grass using the Hair particle. Google "Blender Guru Grass"
When I press 'U' I only get a menu of user options!
