Fixing the PS2 Disc Read Error

Having problems with your Playstation 2. Has it aged over the years since you purchased it? This tutorial shows one of the ways it is possible to heal the Disc Read Error, with only a couple household items. Hope it helps :)

Not really, no. Just to be safe, don't touch any capacitors (They look like medium-sized metal tubes on the circuit board) or anything besides the lens. You also want to touch a radiator or something to remove any static electricity you might have built up in your body.

I feel uncomfortable doing this because in the disc compartmen of my PS2Slim it says in big scary letters "NEVER TOUCH THE LENS" O.o

Guys I did this back in december of 2008 with my old fat ps2 and it worked perfectly, it really did fix my crappy ps2. I might do this again, its not really working again

OH MY GOD This was all I had to do all along? I was re-calibrating the laser, taking the whole damn thing apart, and I was just about to give up. Thanks a million!
