The story behind New Coke was basically Coca-cola lost its ass with Pepsi's "Pepsi Challenge." If you don't know, Pepsi filmed actual blind taste tests where the results were indsiputable. More people did prefer pepsi. Then Coca-cola panicked and came out with a new formula. "new coke" was more sweet and less acidic. Well, when the diehard coca-cola folks found they couldn't get the old coke. PROTESTS!!!! They came back out with the original formual as "Classic Coke". New coke slowly disappeared
