In 1985, Bill and Sylvia Varney decided to leave the big city and moved to Fredericksburg, Texas, a town with strong German roots in the heart of the scenic Texas hill country. Sylvia, who had been working as a financial analyst in Houston, couldn't find challenging work in Fredericksburg, so she decided to strike out on her own, and opened an herb store and apothecary in town. The business took off, and within five years the Varney's had expanded their operation to a 14 acre farm, where they now grow a wide variety of herbs, manufacture herbal food and personal care products, run a restaurant, guest house, day spa and two retail shops. Their mail order and internet business, which sells herbal products all over the world, is booming. Despite these successes, Fredericksburg Herb Farm has had trouble finding funding to expand their business and take advantage of their success. They've been looking for a loan for over a year, and have been turned down several times. Nonetheless, they remain hopeful about the future, and are still looking for their loan. Like most good entrepreneurs, they refuse to take no for an answer. Fredericksburg Herb Farm

  • Depending on exact location on OK, it's approximately 500 miles plus. Fredricksburg is south of Dallas.

  • bill varney is a class a dirt bag. when he is not cheating the people of fredericksburg out of money by not paying his bills he is free loading off elderly women in the community. he lost the herb farm because he can't run a business if his life depended on it . karma is also a *itch to people like varney. just ask people about his activity at Lincoln Street
