I tell you Jennifer Holiday this song is awesome!!!! I recall when I was 20 when this song came out. I still have the album in mint condition. My husband and I was just browsing and we came across this and its still a classic!!!!

Whoever made the decision to cast Jennifer Hudson to play Effie made a very wise choice, she did very well. However, Jennifer Holliday owns this song hands down. She is simply breath taking; she sung it from the depth of her soul.
