Your coffee will taste like the water it's brewed in.

Maria Cleaveland of Equator Estate Coffees & Teas describes the lengths that some people will go to make great coffee, like buying water kits to balance the number of total dissolved solids. But, she says, for most people, a simple carbon filter will suffice to ensure your water is clean enough for making coffee.

  • Coffee tastes like ass anyway. You could use vomit instead of water and not tell a difference.

  • LIES!!! My coffee is 98.7% coffee. What an evil and stupid bitch!!!

Also the minerals in my coffee are only 100 mg/L. Since my coffee is around 13 grams of dissolved particles normal water is only .7%. Super hard water is only like 3% minerals of TDS. So it shouldn't make a difference.

    EXCEPT IT DOES!!!

It makes a huge difference(if you actually have great coffee). Chlorinated coffee sucks :P (that's me spitting out coffee)

  • this guys crazy

  • you got a point ^^

  • Imagine if Erin Brokovich said just that!

  • when my wife tries to reverse osmosis, she usually runs the garbage cans over

  • Useless i belive that Finland water is clean enough to brew coffee

  • Duh.
