I understand where your comming from.

It's hard for me to comprehend this music as dubstep, because of the word that is used to describe it. Like the word 'awesome': it does not actually mean awe-inspiring anymore, but scine the human language evolves over time, it just means awesome.

Hmmm.... So there's no other name for this type of music? Because I know Floating Points plays the same stuff.

Dubstep originated from the fusion of two seperate genres: Dub and 2 step. The 2 step beat is defined as having a kick on the first beat and a snare on the third beat, giving us the 'stepping' feeling, and usually incorperates different arrangements of percussion added onto the this fundamental beat. Dub places its ephasis on the bass which usually has alot of effects tripets.

This track by Quest does not fit the above decription. Sorry mate, this not Dubstep.
