Laila was in horrible condition when Animal Control brought her and her sister, Star, to me here at the Rainbow Wildlife Rescue. I also take in special cases like this for the local Humane Society, who don't have any other choice but to euthanize these animals, because they don't have the resources to take care of them. So whenever I can I lend a helping hand.
Both kittens had tried to nurse from a dead decaying mother an had odor, pheeew. I'm glad the internet can't transmit smell. Yet anyways.
The kittens were in bad shape, crawling with fleas. After I cleaned them up and gave them everything they needed, they started to come around.
But a few days later, Star, the Siamese, passed away in her sleep.
Laila however, is thriving!!!

very moving situation - MissDolittle... you're awesome!
My goodness Laila looks happy and seeing her smell the fresh air makes me appreciate my own life and how valuable it is to be alive and well.
& I couldn't help but think of girls gone wild when I heard that Caribbean music, lol.
