coming from a alcoholic family i used to enjoy the city bus ride home from high school with this on my walkman in 84.

I'm 46 now married with two kids and managing a busy operation but as a confused teenager this album got me through some really tough times because it helped me see that I wasn't the only one who felt the way I did about things. I wonder if Matt realizes the impact that it has had on so many people because I get similar responses whenever I mention Soul Mining

I first heard this song when I was 14. I hated most of what was happening in the early 80s music scene and when this came on the radio one night (around 2am) it blew my mind. I've loved MJ ever since.

"Soul Mining" had a massive impact on my teenage years when everyone else was listening to George Michael and whatever mindless pop pap was around at the time.I'd still place this album in my top 10 of all time -got me through some horrible times growing up.
