Finally found you George. Read about you for years occasionally in Modern Drummer. This is
what feeds my soul. Marvelous playing. The drums and cymbals just sparkle and ring out!
Thanks a million for posting this. I also dig Bill Goodwin and Jerry Granelli.

I lived in San Francisco in the 70's. Saw you play with Listen, instantly thought this is the most melodic drummer I've heard. Periodic WEB searches seeking out your latest efforts came up empty, until your work with the DAWG. Great to see and hear you playing again. Sadly the Listen work never made it to CD and my LP rig is in mothballs. It's been a long time since I have had the pleasure. Thanks for the memories, the sounds and the new postings.
A long time fan.

The First Listen album is finally out on CD...check CD Baby. It still sounds good!

The idea behind my solo on Autumn Leaves was to play as melodically as possible, much like a guitar or any soloist on a melodic instrument. The technical ability of drummers today is very high but there is a great need for a more musical approach...and this takes as much time to develop as chops.
Terry Bozio is a drummer who does both incredibly well...amazing technique and a mission to create music on the drums rather than just exposition of chops.
