  • Since the tank isn't covered on top, do they escape? I accidentally left my lid open once and my blue crayfish got out. Found him eventually though :D

  • @wBundlesofJoyw I try and keep the water low in the tank and usually put a piece of acrylic on the side of the tank that has tubes coming in and out. They are very sneaky, even when you think you have it all figured out, one still manages to get out. I have found quite a few dried up on the floor over the years.

  • Like A hour ago I was about to give mine to my little cousin and i put them in a pitcher and they started mating. thank you for the info

  • @durfeemontana no problem. That's good to hear. I hope it works out for you.

  • is it good to have more females than males?

  • @durfeemontana it's a lot easier. Catching and moving these guys is a pain, so a few females to one male allows you to keep the tank stocked the same way for a long time. You want to remove the males after they have done their job or they will just show aggression towards the females.

  • @eternalstarsurfer so far 1 female is pregnant and 1 has already produced around 100 or so babies. Though I would recommend more gravel than in the video, more places to hide and less crayfish... maybe 3-5 females and 1-2 males.

  • Well how is it working?
