Practical. But a stupid idea, not safe at all, people can copy it, and in countries like here in Brasil where energy is "unstable", lots of surges problems, taking a idea of using paper to cover and touch electrical devices, can sure burn not only the propertie but people. Lembre-se q é perigoso usar materiais inflamáveis. Remember that it´s dangerous to use flamable materials for God sake and people security.

This is not a fire hazard. There isn't enough heat to cause a fire and there is material of the shoebox isn't tinder wood exactly...it's pretty resistant to heat. Also, I usually keep the box open anyways, it's only when people come over that I stuff everything inside the box.
If anything, I've found that it gathers a lot of dust bunnies inside of the box. so if that's a hazard. Then yeah.
