If the Armenian scholar uses this dominant theory to apply to the Armenian community it is not bad, it is actually very academically sound. If you don't agree that nations are Imagined Communities I suggest to read Andersons book and challenge Andersons anthropological theory. But don't pick on the Armenian scholar because he uses modern dominant theory to describe the Armenian community. Again he doesn't even say the community is Imaginary, he says it's ImaginED!!

First written by Benedict Anderson, what it means is that a community is not IMAGINARY (like the video says) but IMAGINED!! Meaning it exists within our minds but is real psychologically! There's a difference between Imaginary and Imagined! Anderson argues that a community is imagined because the members of even the smallest nation will never know most of their fellow-members, meet them, or even hear of them, yet in the minds of each lives the image of their communion.

I'm sorry but this video is not entirely true. I think this video invents issues where there are none. For instance about the "imagined communities". To the untrained eye it might seem like he is saying that Armenian community is imaginary (like they say in the video), but that's not really the case. You see the authors of this video just don't know this, but "Imagined Communities" is the dominant description of Nations and nationalism in cultural anthropology.

I didn't understand why Simon Payaslian and Richard Hovhanisyan are included in this naive propaganda video.

The fact that not 700 but more than million armenians left Armenia in 1992-1994 is real and that they decide to stay in other countries is also truth.

That a lot of armenians especially womans not only prostituting but also are involved in illegal businesses with stolen goods is also FACT, that one can find in any criminal statistics of EU member States and Swiss.

WRONG - The exact pages and exact quotes are right there. They have been exposed by the leading Armenologists of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences and Yerevan State University as THE FALSE ARMENOLOGICAL SCHOOL - because of PURPOSEFUL FALSIFICATION OF ARMENIAN HISTORY.

Cowe 'teaches' that Khorenatsi - the Father of Armenian History - is a "pseudo-historian" who never lived in the Fifth Century. This is simply distortion of Truth, and he is DOING THIS ON PURPOSE. If you are an Armenian, and/or care about academic integrity WITHOUT politicization and purposeful distortion of Armenian History you would defend Armenian History and that Immortal Armenian thanks to whose efforts Armenian Identity, History and Culture has survived and Armenians as a people lived on.
