CareerOne.com.au has relaunched it's website with a new look and feel and improved guided search. Watch the October "Shoes" television commercial for their Career Won campaign.
Lol get over it will ya? And saying "This ad is very demeaning to women. You should be ashamed of yourselves." is taking this ad too seriously. Dont poop the party.
I would say you are the one taking things too seriously, namely my comments. I am entitled to my opinion of this ad, as are you.
I don't like it.
I don't take the ad personally. I am referring to YOUR comments, such as "I bet you don't have many friends. If you do, I feel sorry for them." and, "its party poopers such as yourself that rid the world of humour". You don't know anything about me, and your comments are completely unjustified and unwarranted.
So what that they were all women? If you didnt notice, it was for a retail store catering to women, mainly selling womens apparel and what not. You are taking the ad too seriously and its party poopers such as yourself that rid the world of humour and make it boring and serious just like yourself. Lighten up, and dont take it so personally yourself.
Was it really necessary for you to make this personal?
It's not just the firemen comment that's demeaning. It's the simple fact that all the women gave stupid comments, and that there is only one male applicant. Responding with a vague "What was the question again?" is also pathetic. The ad would be acceptable if there were a few men as well as a few women, giving funny answers.
Hey marketing dudes who work for CareerOne -- you with all the off-the-cuff compliments for the ad -- who's the hot-as shoe girl? Dimples I could sleep in, I tells ya...
Lol get a life. How is this demeaning to women? Im quite sure if this ad had a dumb man saying "pole dancers" instead of a blonde girl saying "firemen", then you'd just laugh as well instead of claiming it to be demeaning. Its a light hearted ad, get a life and don't be so itching to label everything sexist or demeaning. Jeez. I bet you don't have many friends. If you do, I feel sorry for them.
Shoe girl reminds me of Jenna Fischer from The Office. :) But that's probably the best thing I can say about this ad. It is sorta funny, but doesn't fully hit the mark. And look at some of these comments - oh wow, how obvious - "Edgy"? "Amazing marketing people that work there"? Can you spell "astroturf"? Most of them probably work for the company and were told to add comments.
I know the "I get bored easily" guy. He's funny.
