FIELD OF STONE

I remember the night I went blind,
In a field of stone.
A disection of a melody,
Created by myself alone.
And slowly as sanity reappeared,
I roamed the streets,
Living out my deepest fears.
The demon thoughts,
They ate through my bones.
They drove me to search,
For a reason I don't belong.

This room that seems so sweet,
Is the same room that,
Sometimes feels so wrong.
And I know you may not understand,
But if you knew,
You'd want it all to end like I do.

I lay awake in bed,
And meditate.
And I wonder where I am,
So I contemplate.
The order of the Universe,
Seems so weird.
It seems to be childish,
All the things I've feared.
And now I know the meaning of life.
But knowing the truth,
It just cuts me like a knife.

This room that seems so sweet,
Is the same room that,
Sometimes feels so wrong.
And I know you may not understand,
But if you knew,
You'd want it all to end like I do.
