Hey!! sorry i haven't posted in a while!! I've been really busy!!

recap: Lexi got her arm in a cast, Candie is very sick in the hospital.

Lexis POV
"Candie!!" I cried as I hugged her, tears streaming uncontrollably down my face. "Candie!! Don't leave me!" There was no use. She wasn't gunna wake up. Her pulse was slow and still getting slower. Her chest barely rising.

My family and I sat in the room until visitor hours were over, but she still never did wake back up. The doctor said her body is probably just exhausted from the wear and tear of the road, but he said it could just as well be a coma. We went back out to our bus, and I walked back to my bunk and cried all night.

"Lexi, are you alright?" Kevin asked, pulling the curtain on my bunk.
"N-no. I m-miss her," I sniffled. Kevin didn't say anything. He just wraped his arms around me and let me cry.

The next morning we went back into the hospital and walked down the hall to Candie's room. Before we opened the door I heard giddy laughter...It was Candie's laugh. I could tell because no one else I know hypervenalates while they laugh. I burst through the door and stared right at Candie's smiling face.

"Lexi!" Candie screached.
"Oh my goodness Candie!! Don't ever scare me like that again! I though you died!!!" I scolded.
"Well, Im sorry!" Candie said back playfully. "When can I leave?"
"Candace! You're not leaving anytime soon! You're still on life support!" Mom said.
"But Mom!" Candie whined. "It not fun here! I just wanna get up and dance and sing and cartwheel!"
"Candace Lauren Jonas! You better lay down in that bed until the doctor says you can leave." Mom demanded.
"Fine..." Candie sighed.

We left Candie in the hospital to go to a sound check for the concert tonite. I was still gunna preform even though I had a broken hand.

"Hey Lexi, do we sound alright?" Joe asked me. I wasn't paying attention. I was only thinking about Candie.
"Uh yeah...great," I said, absentmindly.
"Cool!" Joe said, walking back onto the stage to soundcheck again. I just sighed and though about Candie until it was time for me to be on stage.

"Le- I mean Selena! Time for you're soundcheck!" Dad yelled. I got up on stage and preformed Falling Down. They told me I did a great job, but I was lacking energy...compassion...soul. I was only focused on Candie. She was so sick and she wasn't even aware of it. How can you lead a life like that.

We did the show that night, but I had no soul or emotion in any of my songs. My brothers of course rocked out though. They let nothing in the way of their music...even their dying sister. I found that to be wrong.

After the show we got back in the bus and drove back over to the hospital. I had to see Candie. The rest of my family stayed on the bus and slept, but I ran through the cooridors to my sister's room. I could hear her crying. I knew she couldn't always be the happy, joyful girl everyone thinks she is. I turned the knob and the crying stopped.

I opened the door and Candie was laying there smiling. it was a fake smile and her face was still tear stained. How dumb did she think I was?

"Cut the crap Candace. I heard you crying. You can't trick me again like you have done all these years!" I screamed at her, infuriated.
"I-I'm sorry." she muttered, a single tear slid down her cheek.
"You know...I've never seen you cry before," I said, my anger disappearing.
"I know. I try to hide it. People don't need to see me cry. I need to stay strong, but it's hard sometimes," she addmitted, tears now flooding down her face.

I embraced her in a tight hug, and she cried on my shoulder for a good ten or fifteen minutes.
"Well, I have to go back out to the bus, but I'll be back bright and early tomorrow," I reassured.
"Not too early. You know I don't like to wake up in the morning," Candie joked, a real smile appearing on her face.

I walked back out to the bus and climbed up into my bunk. I looked across at Candie's and a tear fell down my cheek. Her curtain was closed...it was always closed. She never let anyone look inside. I wondered what she hid in there for the first time since we've been on this bus. I slowly pulled the curtain and let out a gasp.

What is Candie hiding?
What will Lexi do next?
