As I work my way back thru time looking at Frisell's work, what a great way to hear this track , that I associate with the Ginger Baker Trio of the early 1990s...I found a live show of these guys over at You Are What You Hea blogspot...didn't even THINK to research it on Youtube...doh! Thanks so much for posting this-Frisell on Slide=COOL!

@Lukeypoo91 No..the musicians aren't trying to look like corporate accountants, the corporate accountants are trying to look like musicians..

What happened to jazz musicians being the epitome of cool? All the new guys are great musicians but damn, they look like corporate accountants!

Very nice clip and a real treat to see these guys. I wore out the original LP and need to buy it again to hear it again in it's analog glory.
Frisell should be required listening for any guitar shredder. How to make music that is deep and wide without being sheets of scales.

Ronald Shannon Jackson and Bill Frisell are about a millisecond from obliterating into sun particles; some of the most visceral playing with refrain and control. Fortunately, Melvin's got the weight of the world within his thumb alone to keep the gamma rays from shooting skyward...

Love Power Tools. Only time I've seen Frisell play slide. Love that cranked Rat tone he has here.
