Flume: 24 inches wide by 50 feet long, with glass walls and a horizontal bottom
Test Section: 12 inches (30.5 cm) wide by 25 feet (7.6 m) long
Discharge: 35 Lps (1.2cfs)
Sediment transport rate: Coarse sediment 100 g/m/s
Sediment composition:
Coarse: 7.0 mm median grain size coarse gravel
Video frame notes: Scale is in hundredths of a foot (3 mm); view is at an angle between 15 and 30 degrees from the horizontal through the glass wall of the flume; moving frame videos follow the mean grain transport velocity.
Equipment: Cannon GL1 miniDV digital video camera; overhead halogen work light; camera was mounted to the traveling measurement cart.

color = indicates type of sediment and different types of sediment will have a different spicific gravity (how heavy the rock is) different types of rock also weather differently (break/wear down) effecting the hydro dynamics . It appears in this video we have two main types Quartzs which is heavyand lava rock which is light .
