Clues about Diablo III in Diablo I

A look at some of the elements of Diablo I which might be present in Diablo III.

"We also tried to focus a little more on bringing characters back, and not just from Diablo II but from Diablo I. We feel like a lot of the focus is on Diablo II but Diablo I started it all and has a lot of really good stuff on the gameplay side and on the character side. So people can expect to see characters from Diablo I, more characters from Diablo II, and characters from some of the books. We're definitely going to bring a few of them in."

There are poems in Diablo 2, as well as story books, and as for elixers, u couldn't actually use those in the original Diablo, you could only use them in the expansion that was made by Sierra, not Blizzard. I believe that Diablo 2 Act 1 was very much staying true to the original theme of Diablo 1, but after that, it sort of becomes more classic fantasy. I don't know why, but it just seems like you are trying to say that Diablo 2 was a terrible game.

@xChrisBoulterx The poems are all attached to quest, and you can see one of those at 3:35. But in my opinion, in Diablo 2. Act IV was more in line with diablo than Act 1. But Act 3 is how I envisage Diablo 3 to be based on the novels, and I think they'll be able to pull that off much better now. And I do like Diablo 2, I just like it for completely different reasons for most people - plot, flavour, culture, lore, rather than boring fights and multiplayer. I do go in for some item finding though!

@KnightGranham That's not a potion, it's a rune. They were added in Hellfire, which is an expansion to Diablo 1 made by Sierra (not Blizzard). You can put it down on the floor like a trap, and anyone walking over it takes damage.

Just in case you're wondering, the video itself applies to Diablo 1 vanilla, not Hellfire.

I always liked Diablo 1 more than D2. D2 was cool and had a good story, but D1 just had amazing atmosphere that D2 didn't have. Neither of them had terribly deep gameplay, but Diablo 1 had a big horror aspect that really pulled me in more. And oh my god the music in Diablo 1.

if u are talking about the elixirs that increase strength, dex, magíc and vitality i believe they were in the original diablo 1, i dunno if you are playing a newer patch of diablo 1 than i were back when i was 12 years old.. however diablo 1 hellfire, witch i got a couple of months ago so i could see the hellfire content, sets up the story about the demon Na'crûl but that story isn't considered diablo lore...
