Matt, I've been playing for 30 years. Until very recently I didn't know who you were, but I've quickly gained an unbelievable amount of respect for you. Your style and tone are sweet. Having played this tune over and over again, you;ve got me reconsidering my style. I'm not quite a speed demon, but tend to put more notes into my solos. Dizzy Gillespie once told me years ago "I've learned which notes are not important." You've already learned that lesson. It's a pleasure to hear you.

You mean the sight of my new beard is not enough for you? I was being lazy and sitting down, not good for the diaphram etc...... :-)

Gorgeous tune - fun to play, easy to swing, and caressed ever-so-gently (as usual) by your tenor.
That's a beautiful tone - of course, I've always enjoyed listening to your big, lovely tenor sound!
Your nice take on Wave has me thinking of hanging out en una hamaca nublada, sipping a cold Cerveza Sol on a warm & breezy tropical afternoon.....hold on - that's what I'm doing NOW!
It's very nice to plug in the backyard speakers, listen to YOU, and just laze away the whole PM!
Thanks, Matt!

Kind words as usual SM, funny enough that cold beer was exactly what I what I was thinking about, that and the odd Ab and Csharp scale....horrible to improvise over, but good for you. Like musical porridge. I agree though, the head is nice to play.
