"Warpless" Super Mario Bros. 3 speedrun in 64:15 (Not a TAS)

Okay, this speedrun that I have just posted is not the fastest of my colection. So far, as of April of 2008, 63:32 is the quickest time I've done for SMB3, and is the fastest all together.


Sorry for the horrendous quality of this video. Just watch my other videos to find out why I used a camera, and not a Video Capture Device. Eventually, I plan to buy a DVD recorder so I can record some better video game footage. Anyway, the camera moves all over the place whenever the screen would scroll at a certain speed, so I would try to move it back into place. In other words, I tried everything in my power for this to satisfy your viewing needs. There's no sound, because I took it out. Originally, the sound from the actual game didn't come in too well on the camera, but everything else, like camera adjustment and constant moving did.


There's not much I can say. This isn't the fastest run, and I still have the tape of the speedrun. I have to say, I still like to watch the fortress level on World 8. I cannot believe I did that wall glitch on my first try.

Darius I think it's been established that Nick doesn't have the expertise necessary to figure out if the glitches actually save any time. He probably stomps every goomba because if you let them live then you're cheating. This Nick guy is a real American hero.

He does not "massively glitch" anything. He glitches through a couple of walls. If you realistically look at it, he usually loses more time trying to glitch than just doing it. Rather than call the glitches BS, why not point this fact out instead?

The issue is that he can't do it, so it's pretty obvious that the guy in the video is cheating because it creates an uneven playing field for the people that aren't good enough to pull off the glitches and EXTREME OMK precision necessary for some of the tricks.

Obviously this Nickerson character is a much better player because he can't pull off these tricks, so that means he's not "cheating." Come on, guys, it's so obvious this guy's a cheater.
