Does the Sims three play on OSX Lion? I've been reading that there are lot's of problems which is a shame because I was thinking of getting this. It was fine on the previous OSX but when Lion came along it broke it.
If you just have the Sims 3 base game, what is that like? If you have expansion packs as well, what is that like? If they don't work and you uninstall ALL Sims stuff, will that affect your computer at all? I must know all positives and negatives about this... Heck, I don't even have a Mac yet.
I have a normal Macbook 13.3 inch. I used our 5 year old rubbish pc before with the sims 2 in it, and it seemed to run not that differently, only slightly slower. Now that I have £70 to spend im gonna buy the sims 3 with almost ALL of the expansion packs. With the base game and all of the expansion packs, will this load ok?
Plus this is my only good laptop I have and I dont wanna mess it up. So I simply need a detailed answer with a conclusion of 'Yes' or 'No'. Not a 'maybe' or a 'i dont know'.
@mariasotoisme No. Sorry! But there is a Sims 2 (Which by the ways sucks) but Sims 2 Pets on PSP is ok! But if you have PS2 buy sims 2 on that! Its AWESOME! PS: Since you have a computer, buy it!
Just installed the Base Game on Mac OS X Snow Leopard with graphic settings ranging from Med to High. I have an alright graphics card, but it just sucks. I had it on BootCamp with all max settings; no lag, no problems whatsoever. So, I suggest installing the Sims 3 on Windows with BootCamp.

If I got the 15" MacBook Pro with these specs; 2.0GHz quad-core
Intel Core i7
4GB 1333MHz
500GB 5400-rpm1
Intel HD Graphics 3000
AMD Radeon HD 6490M with 256MB GDDR5
Does anybody know if it would run The Sims 3 okay?

Settings makes no difference for me, same as every Cider crap port. It lags like hell and is totally unplayable.
