My buddy Shawn and I were in New Orleans this past Mardi Gras. He had the idea of covering Steve Goodman's country song You Don't Even Call Me By My Name. I don't listen to much country, if you can classify this as that, but man, most if not all of the people in that bar were reciting everything word for word. This is the full length version of his cover. I have a shorter rendition in my Mardi Gras blog video as well.
Great art,but please be nice and write (COVER).Peace:)

David Allen Coe sings this song not Steve Goodman. Steve Goodman wrote the song.

The scene has the feeling of a Jimmy Buffet concert! Great to see the crowd slowly get totally into this wonderful, tuneful, brilliant piece of Americana! Great posting. Awe-inspiring singing by the singer and the crowd!

I love how he just kept on singing when everyone was booing to start, then all of a sudden everyone started singing with him as if 30 seconds into the song, Country suddenly became cool.
Haha.... nicely done :D
