2011 Ford Fiesta autocross test drive

Ford set up an autocross course at Candlestick Park as part of the media introduction of the US version of the 2011 Ford Fiesta. Here's Dan setting the top time of the day (67.40) in a 5-speed 5-door hatchback Fiesta SES with 16" all-season tires. Dan's best time in a Honda Fit Sport was 68.55 seconds.

Please excuse the rattling. This impromptu video camera installation consisted of wrapping the legs of a Gorilla Pod around the passenger seat headrest pins.

There is a E-Brake chime? Uh-Oh, that damn thing is going to be going off on every corner in the winter for me! Overall, the car looks well balanced with little body roll. I sure wish our local autocrosses were that open.
