  • @snaaptaker Silly me! I should have guessed as much. (:-D)

  • @Noshirm Actually, he studied with Schnabel AFTER Busoni died.

  • WOW! Now that I did not know! Schnabel! So he worked with Schnabel BEFORE he worked with Busoni? Sorry for this pestering, but I am fascinated by these details!

  • Artur Schnabel.

  • That's interesting! Who else had Zecchi studied with? Will check up on these posts! Thanks.

  • Agosti was truly a pupil of Busoni, while Zecchi took only a few lessons. I've just uploaded a couple of Debussy's Preludes for you to sample.

  • Agreed. Zecchi and Agosti - two great Italian pupils of Busoni. I have heard far too little of the former and none of the latter. Did Agosti not make recordings? :-(

  • Opus 10 no. 8 is sensational!

  • I remember actually playing under him as a conductor. He was visiting Cape Town during his later years. What a fantastic musician.
