I recently started watching LHOP and fell back in love with this wonderful series, especially the Almanzo & Laura storyline. I think this DVD and series would make a wonderful Christmas present for my nephew. Thank you.

Almonzo Wilder was a little hottie back in the day...

I devoured The Little House series as a child and I still enjoy reading them as an adult. Though I loved all of the books, Farmer Boy was always my favorite. I loved the relationships between the family members. I still watch Little House On The Prairie everyday with my children. There should be more good old-fashioned, wholesome programs on television nowadays. Thank you Mr. Butler, For posting all of these great clips and keeping the Ingalls/Wilder memory alive for the next generation.

Make plans to meet Dean Butler this summer and pick up an autographed copy of his DVD documentaries.
Here are a few of his scheduled appearances
May 15, 2010 Holy Family School, Le Roy, NY
July 23-24, 2010 Heritage Hills Historical Park, Green Bay, WI
August 7-8, 2010 Genese Country Village & Museum, Mumford, NY
Deam Butler still looks handsome as he did when he played Almanzo!
I will be traveling to Madison, WI for a personal matter. At the meantime, I would love to visit any museums pertaining to the Ingals and Wilder family.

@ShoryoTombo Thank you for your nice compliment. I would recommend all the LIW sites throughout the midwest and northern New York State. You'd also have a great time at Heritage Hill in Green Bay.
Enjoy...

It's great to see my Grandmother's home displayed with such dignity. I have many fond childhood memories. I was up to visit this past Thanksgiving. when my grandmother lived there the house was white and most of the buildings were gone. I remember the barn burning down in 1966 or there about.

So your grandmother lived in Almanzo's childhood house? It's wonderful that this wonderful landmark has been preserved for present and future generations. I'm curious if you have pictures of the home and barn during your grandmother's life there? Thanks for writing.

As an educator, I'm thrilled! What a wonderful way to highlight the life of LIW! In today's education there's a constant focus on the use of technology. I am the educational technologist in our building. It is my responsibility to encourage teachers to try different means of technology to supplement their daily lesson plans. Well, I already have the little wheels turning in my mind as to how these DVD's could be used.

It would be very exciting to communicate the LIW story in historical terms that would be useful to educators. Thank you for your comments.
