The New Fountain Shelter is funded provincially through BC housing, however this funding is slated to be cut as of April 30th. This would be effectively "Evicting the Homeless" as there are no facilities in place and nowhere else to go for the people who depend on these services 356 days per year.

A 24 Hour soccer marathon was played from April 14th at 7:30 am to urge BC Housing to do the right thing and continue funding the New Fountain Shelter. Local artists such as Little T came out and performed to show their support.

PEOPLE IN VANCOUVER CARE, THE MAYOR CARES, THE PREMIER CARES. WE NEED BC HOUSING TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND KEEP FUNDING THIS SHELTER.

Write to:
Rich Coleman, Minister of HOusing and Social Development: rich.coleman.mla@leg.bc.ca

Shayne Ramsay, CEO of BC Housing: sramsay@bchousing.org

Mayor Greg Robertson: Gregor.robertson@vancouver.ca

Thank you!
