We met some local fisherman and they took us on a 12 hour deep sea fishing trip off the coast of tobago. We caught 3 large groupers and a ton of flying fish.

  • i can't imagine fishing deep sea with a hand line. Catching a fish like that on a rod and reel is hard enough.

  • trust me, i know. Thats just how they do it out there.

  • Haha, at the beginning it looked like the guy was pulling on nothing, it looked really funny

  • we have fishermen that lost their fingers with that hand line here in our country. they cant afford to buy "rods and reels", they just dont need it.

  • @Bugalooob large fish expend more energy because we struggle tto get them.. so by the time we catch it expendid most or even all its energy

  • Handlineing is sometimes the ONLY way to catch really big Grouper.I have seen people hook and loose the same fish 4-6 times.I send my 300# test handline down, with 80# leader and pull it right away from the rocks it had previously been going into and breaking off.\I know it was the same 80lb. Nassau Grouper, because it had a 6 hoohs, still in it's jay...

Once u haul them up 30' from the bottom, fast, they blow their swim bladder and their eyes pop out. If u got pulled up from 200' down,Ur eyes would

  • That fish looked dead when you pulled it from the water, I wonder if pulling it up from great depth popped its eyeballs out and killed it

  • Groupers are great tasting fish ! As for the eyes, that occurs when they surface too fast.

  • 1:55 the eyes!!! Nasty!!!

  • dude wtf his eyses are creepy

  • THAT FISH WAS STILL STILL ALIVE

  • grouper's are good eating fish so are dhufish/snapper.
