I turned to Regina to continue our conversation. She was cool. I could tell we were going to be great friends.
-End Jayme's POV-

-Jazz's POV-
I was in like every single 1 of Joe's classes. I guess that's what happens when the school is SO small! He led me to first period science andtook a seat in the back. I sat next to him and waited for the rest of the class to file in.
Girl: Ohhhhhh you're the new girl right?
I looked up. to see a girl with long, wavy blonde hair. Her eyes were blue-grey and curious. "Yeah. I'm Jazz."
Girl: I'm Shannon. *sits in the seat in front of me* Was your last school huge?
"Pretty much. This one is so small!" I laughed a little. Shannon seemed nice.
Shannon: Wow. Must have been terrifying with all those people!
"Nah. They just avoided me for the most part." True enough. For the most part... they did..... except..... -I shuddered to remember the few who HADN'T avoided me-
Shannon: Oh. *A girl sits next to her* Hey Jazz, this is my friend Gillian.
I smiled at Gillian. She had black hair, like me... but hers was much thicker. It was really long too. She smiles and there was warmth in her brown eyes. I didn't understand it... people in this school really seemed very nice. I almost had trouble understanding that because of my previous encounters with people. "Hi Gillian. I'm Jazz."
Gillian: Hi Jazz! Hey Joe.
Joe: Hi Gillian. *he turned to me* Shannon and Gillian are in our lab group. They are also in a few of our other classes.
"Cool" I was going to say more, but the teacher walked in right then. He was old and looked grumpy.
Joe: You're going to HATE Mr. Oakes.
Mr. Oaks: I understand we have a new student in this class? *checks his class list* Jasmine Denali?
I raised my hand tentatively "Here" He glanced up at me.
Mr. Oakes: Come up here Jasmine.
I got up and walked to the front of the class. When I got there, Mr. Oakes told me to face the class so I did. There were about 15 kids in the class. Not as bad as my other school... but still I had never had to stand in front of the kids at my other school.
Mr. Oakes: Tell us about yourself Jasmine.
I turned to look at him "What?" A few people in the class chuckled.
Mr. Oakes: Introduce yourself to the class.
What in the world? Does he think we are elementary school kids?! "My name is Jasmine, I prefer to be called Jazz. I have a dalmation named Crystal. That's about it. Unless you have any questions?" A boy in front actually raised his hand and I nodded at him
Boy: You got a boyfriend?
I couldn't help glancing at Joe... wishing I could answer yes. I almost thought Joe reacted to the question. He looked like he was about to get out of his seat and then caught my eye. "No. I don't"
Boy: Will you go out with me?
Mr. Oakes: Bryan!
Hey... Mr. Oakes asked for it. "Nah. I would only go out with a guy that wasn't a rude obnoxious bastard. Any other questions?" That got Mr. Oakes mad.
Mr. Oakes: That's ENOUGH Ms. Denali. Take your seat.
I smiled and went back to my seat. I could still hear the snickers from Bryan's friends around the room. Mr. Oakes took control of the class and started a dull lecture that I had already heard at my other school. I doodled idly on my notebook for the rest of the class. When I glanced at the doodle... I saw I had draw a person. I looked closer.... trying to recognize who I had drawn. The bell rang and I jumped.
Joe: Why didn't you take notes?
"Already had this lesson. I guess my old school moved faster."
Shannon: *catches up with me and Joe* That was hilarious! You really already know Bryan and you don't even know him. *laughs* I'm in your guys' next class.
"Cool." We talked all the way there. We made plans to hang out after school. We invited Gillian to join during 3rd period when we saw her again. She agreed. I went through the rest of the day, all other teachers just called my name to introduce me to the class. A couple of times during the day, I saw Bryan and smirked. After school, Joe and I were walking out to his car to wait for Aly, Regina and Nick when I heard someone call my name. I froze. I knew that voice. But.... no way. Not possible! I turned around and saw exactly who I had expected. He had cut his hair from the last time I had seen him. Still a sandy red color and still looked like it was fire. His bright blue eyes were watching me. And he was smiling. Joe turned to look at him and frowned. There was no way Joe knew him... but he didn't seem to like him for some reason. Maybe just because he was strange to Joe and knew me already. So he must know it was someone from before.
"Hi. Haven't seen you in a while."
