I am a musician not a technician. I have Logic and Saffire LE (and an iMac). I have only managed so far to record with my SM57, but note that the only way I can find to set the level (that makes a difference) is the gain switch on the Saffire LE box, which HAS NO NUMBERS ON IT! And why is there no gain switch for inputs 3 and 4? I do not understand what the Saffire software control screen is for: it seems to be for mixing sound for monitors and headphones only?? No level for a conden mic...
@TheMyTrance Hi. TheMyTrance, you are not a dummie. The interface of the Saffire LE. I got mine recently, and I'm already thinking that was a mistake. the product is very confuse. If you turn down the volume of your headphones, it affects the analogic output. The same is for the monitor output. I have a FW410, and its perfect! I have total control of my mixes. The TWO headphones output can be assigned to every output as I wish.
