this rendition beats every other concert pianist out there by a mile... I'm currently learning this piece and i really like this rendition, the best i've heard so far. Not like Lang Lang's terrible interpretation.

@englishplayer40 its a fairly difficult piece. even if you can master the mechanics of it you have a fair technique

Such a lovely piece. Well interpreted and played. It's a shame that many pianists play it too plainly.

hes my piano teacher lol

I'm also trying to learn it...are there any tips that folks would share. I know one needs to know the A flat scale well, and be able to play the arpeggios at a bazillion mph....

Magnificent performance! So much feeling and artistry. I'm learning this piece now and watch this video over and over to see how it should be done!

I'm learning this,, actually this is my first chopin etude at all, thx for giving me this beautiful example :)
so many people play this and they seem to think they are good because they accomplish it and can handle the notes at full speed without stiffness. But here is one of the few who actually plays it with a nice touch, texture and phrasing instead of the usual mechanical rattle of semiquavers. A true 'etude' in this interpetation, as it should be - aesthetic and musical. nicely done.

having listened to a benita rose who calls herself a concert pianist, this totally knocks the socks off it. more refined, polished and professional altogether.
