@ticksmilk I know that, i'm talking about the new school part. I wouldn't consider Guilty Gear as a "New school game" since it came out in the 90s and its gameplay is really unique, i don't think it got any of its ideas from this game.

In Guilty Gear (or any of the ARC games), you got enough time to think what's next. In Vampire Savior you must think FAST. And this CMV shows it.
Such a pity we couldn't appreciate such an epic game.

they're not painting over those models if thats what you think...its not hand-drawn, and let's just say that it is for one moment--its horribly drawn compared to the sprites done in Third Strike. The fact that people REALLY dig the SF4 look over 3s sprites is a huge indication that Americans don't know how to appreciate well-done art. It has to be big bulky and loud to get their attention and thats exactly why Ono is making it look like that because people here like muscle bound westernized art.

first of, just because it looks like shit dosent mean is bad, take megaman legends for example, it looked really bad, and thats the main reason people didnt give it a chance, but it was a fun game.
Second, if there is gona be a sequel of DarkStalkers, it MUST be 2-D, not for keeping the original thing, but because is IMPOSIBLE to put the hilarious attacks from each character into 3-D, like Zabel BasquetBall or Anakaris Curse.
