I'm going to miss that sound when everything goes electric. :(

That's camshaft talking. The more lift on the camshaft the more the valve opens. The more the valve opens and stays open (duration) the more the air/fuel mixture is disturbed. That is why the idle is "rougher" . It's letting more fuel and air get into the engine and hopefully out lol. With the AFR heads he says he has on that engine I'm sure it doesn't have a problem breathing. The more duration the camshaft has the longer the valve stays OPEN, the rougher the idle is.

Whoever the 2 dislikes are from are either gay or unamerican!!

it's pretty cool because cam manufacturer's can sell a cam with a greater overlap time in the cam profile but make it a mild lift and duration so those who want a mild engine can have the rough idle :)

Nothing like some good ol blower surge.....mmmmm

@dlinecg Yes, This is also true. You are correct. Lobe seperation also plays a big part in what you just mentioned.
-
@bigmrclean actually valve overlap is what causes most of the idle lope. the time the exhaust and intake valves are open at the same time

Now that's what I call a ringtone!

there went his gas tank
Contrary to joerufino77's opinion, I've gone 118 in this boat in 3' blown out chop runnin in a poker run right next to a 35' Nordic Flame w/ twin 700s. The boat felt 100% stable. My g/f & my buddys g/f ride in the open boy @ 110+ all the time. I think if joe is being a little girlyman I might have to put him up there too so I dont have to hear him cry. Joe, maybe if your buddy knew how to drive @ high speeds you'd feel a little safer in a boat of this caliber. Stick to a canoe, u2 will look cute
