  • When the train reverses direction it has to be short hood forward by railroad regulation. The trailing engine is in the correct orientation.

  • The front of the trailing engine would be facing the outbound direction, instead it's facing the inbound. Where did they turn the train around?

  • Why would they have it the long-hood way? Normally they only drive it long-hood on equipment moves.

  • Usually the trailing engine would be Long Hood Forward. Since normally it would face the outbound direction.
