you got the basics let me break it down for you now
photosynthesis it's serious business
solar energy converted by the plants and trees
into oxygen something everybody needs
6 CO2 + 6 H2O
add light energy thats photosynthesis
and get C6H12O6 +6O2
you know how these plants do
they break it down in the chloroplast mighty fast
chlorophyll filled thylakoids capturing light energy
necessity for making chemical energy
while in the stroma H20 and Co2 make sugars to go

VERSE 2
photosynthesis occurs in two stages
linked by ATP and NADPH
stage 1 is all about the light reactions
electrons removed from water molecules
passing through photosystems 2 onto 1 to NADP+
via the electron transport chain where ATP is made
yielding NADPH, ATP, and o2 but there ain't no sugars man
so it's onto the Calvin Cycle to get em then

VERSE 3
welcome to stage 2 the Calvin Cycle
functioning like a sugar factory with the chloroplast
using carbon from the Co2
energy from ATP
and high energy electrons from the NADPH
making glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate
that's G3P incase you didn't know babe
but the production of G3P doesn't happen magically
it happens in 4 steps so here's the process
1: carbon fixation
rubisco combines the Co2 with the ribulose biphosphate making 6 3 PGA's
2: reduction
the PGA's are reduced
producing 6 energy rich
glyceraldehyde 3 phosphates
3: one G3P molecule is released
so 5 remain while ones leaving as the net product of photosynthesis
4: regeration of RuBP
using energy from the ATP making 3 new ones and it all repeats
