This double drum instrument usually called "tamtam" or "tbilat" in Arabic and "tikallalin" in Tamazight (Berber) is played by musicians during weddings and other special events or by a group of friends hanging out. This drum is all handmade from clay covered with goat skin. It is of exceptionally good quality and can be played by hand or with small wooden sticks.
Krakebs or garagab (Also transliterated as qaraqib or qraqib, singular qarqaba) are large metal castanet-like musical instruments which are the primary rhythmic component of Gnawa music. They are used primarily in Morocco and Algeria.

The goblet drum (also chalice drum) is a goblet shaped hand drum used mostly in Arabic, Assyrian, Persian, Balkan, Greek, Armenian, Azeri and Turkish music. Its thin, responsive drumhead and resonance help it produce a distinctively crisp sound. Though it is not known exactly when it was made it is known to be ancient of origin.
