Well, she is still learning the ropes, but I gave her a test one day - I threw a float in the water while we were sailing and asked her to pick it up. She had no problem going round in a circle (with no help from me, and without using the motor) and going slowly over the top so I just had to reach down between the bows to pick it up. Honestly, I was a bit surprised, because lots of people who 'can sail' will fail that test. Just goes to show you can't judge the crew by her hair colour!
