This is an original song of mine called, "Sympathetic Memory". It features my cousin, Brandon Coleman, on guitar. This is a very philosophical song with somewhat abstract lyrics. Thank you so much for watching!!!

SYMPATHETIC MEMORY

Lost somewhere,
Through atmospheric seas.
There are many things,
Many souls,
Not understood by me.
Babe,
Do you ever wonder where we'll go,
When time goes home?
When there's no one here,
No one left,
The Earth is all alone.

When I try to clear my mind,
I can't escape this psychic bind.

Someday we'll find it all out,
We'll finally see what it's all about.
Lost among stars and deep cosmic seas,
Found by a sympathetic memory.

When someday,
That final day arrives,
Will the moon draw near,
Filled with fear,
And with the Earth collide?
Rain,
Pouring down upon a wondering soul,
Who's doing fine.
Will he ever know,
Ever see,
The universe stop sign?

When I try to clear my mind,
I can't escape this psychic bind.

Someday we'll find it all out,
We'll finally see what it's all about.
Lost among stars and deep cosmic seas,
Found by a sympathetic memory.

(Instrumental Interlude)

Where are we?
Where did it all begin?
Did the planets race to the sun,
And find a happy end?
Mars,
Chasing Venus through an empty void,
In Father Time.
Did they ever know what would come,
Of what they chose to start?

When I try to clear my mind,
I can't escape this psychic bind.

Someday we'll find it all out,
We'll finally see what it's all about.
Lost among stars and deep cosmic seas,
Found by a sympathetic memory.

Bound to life,
That no one else can see...

  • Great song . . . I love your vocal range . . . Especially the low end! The drum programming bothers me a bit but as for the song itself

    . . . 5 stars!

  • Thanks

  • Tyler, this is just so beautiful visually, lyrically and vocally. You are one extremely talented guy, my young friend. And, I don't think anything this great to listen too can be too long.

    Brilliant !

  • Hey T, It certainly is a deep song...the music is awesome and it really comes across as a well polished and well produced song. Very vivid even without the video...I never watch the videos because I try to concentrate on the words and music. A great video can make a bad song seem good - I wanted to dissect the music and lyrics only (on this listen, anyway). I like it alot. Nice one!
