Jimmy Rollins, an MVP shortstop for the Philadelphia Phillies (MLB) baseball team, shares his favorite moments in his professional athlete career. ?My first big league hit, it was my second at bat, got to a three-two count at the back of the Veteran Stadium, hit the ball down in the corner leg with four triple. At the start of it, it was like wow! I'm here. I got a big league hit and I got a hit in the big leagues. I can do it. My second once again was a triple and it was my last bat of last season. I was one triple away from being 20-20-20-20. That's I think twenty doubles, twenty homeruns, twenty triples, twenty stolen base, and the funny part is Milt Thompson who is our head coach, he was like ?Man, you're not slick. I know what you're doing.? And I'm like, what are you talking about? He says, you can wait to your last bat of the season and hit a triple just so everybody can stand up and cheer for you. And I'm looking like, man if I was that good, c'mon now, I'm ready to get the wave down. I don't have to worry about it. And sure enough. Sure enough, we've come as we plan the nationals, you know, the biggest day of the season, trying to get the drought out the fills that makes up the play offs and we have like 4-1-5-1 lead or something. Sure enough, it's two outs. Somebody gets the hit and then it's like a walk or something. So now, I get another bat. And here we go, I'm sitting up there like how is this gonna happen. I need a triple. This is my last bat of the season. I need a triple, c'mon I need a triple. Sure enough, it's a 2-2 count, pitcher hang a slider. Hit the ball down the right field line. And you know, I'm running and I'm like, oh sure I got to go. I'm going. You might have to throw me out of third and I'm about three steps away from second base and I'm like, do I stay or do I go? And I'm like, I'm going and it's two outs and and crossing the base where you don't make the last out of third. But I'm like I'm going. You don't have to throw me out. So I'm coming around second and I'm looking at the third base and running and I'm like I'm hitting it. I don't care. I'm hitting them like a football player. I'm going through him. I'm hitting him. And Olsen comes up, fires the ball to third and I'm just digging, I'm digging. I see his hand and I see his gloves and I'm like, Oh, shoot!. I mean I probably take about another step and I went in and I think that extra step actually pushed me in front of the ball. I went in and I hit his knee so hard. Just for me, it was like a football hit. Everybody was hailing, MVP! MVP! And it's just like wow! This is actually pretty cool. That was like the first time I actually took in what was going on. It was only been done four times and happened to be done twice in one year. Curtis Granderson and myself so, that was some pretty good company.?
You honestly don't see the phillies going any place this year? Wow bro... If you don't see it is cuz you don't want to see it lol. Come on bro... you're gonna give me the DL excuse? Like the Mets are the only team that got good players on the DL...Is part of the game bro, It happens.
