@Missyunforgettable In this drawing I'm using a 4B pencil for the darkest values. I suppose it all has to do with building up the value that the pencil gives me... and possibly a little scoring to go with it. haha. Thanks!

@syferboy thanks dude. you don't seem to use grids like others do...what's your method for the perfect layout or line drawing? ^^

@Missyunforgettable I don't like the grid system. I prefer to use a compass and use that to get my proportions correct. I always start with a border and then use reference points from my image source.
