Do you hear anything when viewing the moving dots? Play the movie repeatedly for best effect.

Some people hear sounds when seeing this movie (and also when seeing other examples of moving or flashing objects). The sounds are simple such as whooshing or bubbling, and non-linguistic. The sound perception occurs automatically, not requiring effort or imagination. For more on this test visit:

  • I hear a very low whooshing/breathing, getting sucked in (softer) when the dots suck in and getting breathed out (louder) when the dots go out.

  • I hear something really gentle and swooshing with a phonteic texture like: "whouptubtubtubtub - wubwubwub - tubtubtub - wubwbub- tubtubtub" and so on.

  • I don't hear anything, but there was some weird like breeze on my face. Probably imagination, though. If you want to know for sure if you have synesthesia, you should get your brain scanned.

  • I just felt pressure and suction in my head. Wasn't pleasant.

  • I hear a wooshing sound that changes as it goes in and out, and then a soft, wind chime noise as well. It's not even windy outside, nor do I have wind chimes.

  • I get a mixture of touch and sound from this.

  • i hear like a whoosh sound when the dots go in and out kind of like breathing. i think its just in my head.. what would some one with synesthesia hear? or even see?

  • ya i hear a faint whooshing noise.

  • I hear a type of whoosh in which the pitch glides up when the dots expand, then glides back down as they contract, very interesting.

  • I hear a kind of weird electric guitar going through threads
