i checked on a website which said there are four left down there. it hadnt been updated in a while. all i know is there's one right here in garfield NJ!

You know, I think your right, there is U34Chs in Mexico, in fact I think I did see a U34CH in Mexico on TV, it hit a gas truck and exploded.

10 in Mexico? I know there were atleast 2, 1 came back and was in Texas in the spring of 2006 but nobody know's where it went.

i believe there are a bout 10 in mexico. but youll be happy to know that there is one in storage in Garfield NJ. a short line called New York and Greenwood lake has that, and a bunch of RS-3s and Gp-7s which they use for hauling freight

Awesome - thank you for posting. What exactly was the locomotive doing at this point, going out of service? Love seeing the U34ch - post more if you have them! I wonder if any are still around...last I heard the few left were somewhere like Mexico or something...
