A very great avant-garde pop song written by Yoko Ono from the album "It's Alright (I See Rainbows)" in 1982.

"It's Alright (I See Rainbows)" is the sixth solo album by Yoko Ono, and her second release after the death of husband John Lennon. As a variation of a theme concerning its predecessor, the back cover features a transparent image of Lennon in a then-contemprary photo of Yoko and Sean, depicted in Central Park. This album marks her first foray into new wave sounds and 1980s pop production. It charted at #98 in the U.S. All songs are written, composed, arranged, produced and sung by Yoko Ono.

"It's Alright" (by Ono):
Mummy! mummy! mummy!
Mummy!
Mummy! you have to wake up!
Yes, yes, I know

You have to wake up!
I know

Sometimes it's such a drag
I don't feel like getting up in the morning
Then something happens, it clicks in my head
I feel like crying
But I know it's gonna be alright

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
I know it's gonna be alright

Sometimes, I'm so afraid (I'm so, I'm so scared)
I don't feel like facing the world
Then something happens, it clicks in my head
I feel like crying
I know it's gonna be alright

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
I know it's gonna be alright

I guess I'm not the only one (not the only one in misery)
There many of us around
So when you're feeling down (down)
Hold your heart and say, it's gonna be alright

Hold your heart and it'll be alright
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes
Yes, yes, yes, it's gonna be, it's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright, yes

I guess I'm not the only one (not the only one in history)
There many of us in history
So when you're feeling down (down)
Hold your heart and say, it's gonna be alright

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
I know it's gonna be alright
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
I know it's gonna be alright
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
We're gonna make it, alright

  • This is very crazy music, but I like crazy music, such as Glenn Branca, Sonic Youth, Pavement, etc. It's not pop, it's something different

  • John was lucky and Sean was so lucky to have such cool parents.

  • I love this song! I can't believe I'm barely finding out about it! ^__^ I am totally going to learn more about Yoko, I only know about her performance piece at Carnegie Hall with the scissors....which I love.

  • Great song of Yoko Ono!!!!!!!!! Sweet, hopeful, tender!!!! Thank you, Yoko!!!!

  • So when you're feeling down

Hold your heart and say, it's gonna be alright...<3

  • @CompleatBeatles Ok... I never tought about that. I'm out of arguments... I can only say that she sings pretty bad. But that's just my opinion as a Beatles fan.

  • @yokobr

A number of factors broke up The Beatles. Paul's ego, the death of Brian Epstein, Phil Spector ruining their final album, John completely losing interest in The Beatles etc. Yoko was not one of them. George respected her, Paul admitted that he misunderstood her in the earlier years, though he appreciated her later on, and respected her pursuit of individuality. Ringo even played drums on several of her solo albums! That fictitious line about her breaking up The Beatles gets old quickly.

  • @CompleatBeatles How could you say that?! She breaked up Beatles for that kind of shit... Man, i would be completelly happy if Yoko NEVER existed.

  • @stepINSIDElover NO she fucking sux!!!

  • @anonwillprevail247 more like you suck.
