whenever i hrd 0:40 as i sat and waited for my weak pc to finish loadin id get all happy and it made me proud to have a level 39 halfling warrior who was still usin polished granite tomahawks and no stats fine steel armor cos i had saved up for it on me own and i didnt care if other people had fancier armors cos i still had fun playin

Does anyone remember that not all of the instruments in this song were heard simultaneously from 0:11 - 0:39? You'd only hear certain instruments depending on which race was currently selected in the creation menu (e.g. Ogre/Troll - Tuba, High Elf - pizzicato strings, etc.). It was such a cool effect! This game was a testament to the versatility of MIDI soundtracks. These tunes sounded great on an AWE64.

I was hugely disappointed when PoP came along and replaced most of the .XMI with .MP3s.

@Kurtanius21 The server really is very good. Still moments where you remember you're playing an emulated server rather than the actual one, but the devs for p99 actually listen to bug reports and feedback.

Everyone come on over to project 1999! It is a free to play Classic Everquest server! It boasts over 800 players during peak times! It recreates the classic experience up to velious, Kunark was released 3 months ago.

I hated how just about every summoners pet could kick my level 45 barbarian's warriors ass =/ still have fond memories though =p oh and this was back in 99 so ya lol only played until they released kunark the first expansion and quit

@jogu78 i made up to lvl 52 with a boots i got fising... i was really focused on buying a horse, so every pp i saved for it. I was a magician so it was not so bad to have bad items since i was using the pet on groups, but one day i was dumped in a zone (dont remember the name, where ventril zatir or somethting like that was), the flying iksar... so then i started to buy stuff for me xD

Some time after hit the jackpot and bought the 100kpp horse, and the final item for my epic =)
